Can I let you in on a little obsession of mine? I have a deep love for old mirrors – the kind that tell stories with every imperfection. Whether they’re grand and gilded or small and understated, there’s something magical about their gently tarnished surfaces. They add depth, mystery and soul to any space.
The mirrors scattered throughout the château feel like silent storytellers, each one holding a history of its own. They inspire me to pause and take stock—not just of the growth and evolving direction of our business, but also of my personal journey. The power of reflection – both literal and metaphorical.
So, what do I see when I look in the mirror?
I see a couple who stayed true to the path we began last year—dedicated to helping others find their way back home to Self. This year, we brought everything we’ve been building to life through bespoke retreats, weaving together practices that nurture and inspire. From the grounding serenity of forest bathing to the wabi-sabi philosophy that finds beauty in imperfection, to the creative exploration and deep insights unlocked through SoulCollage®, each retreat reflected our shared vision. As I look ahead, Thomas is taking the next step by strengthening his IFS therapy skills as a programme assistant in IFS training in France, while I feel the pull of dreamwork calling me forward. The path continues, and I’m excited for what’s next.
I also see the reflection of a couple doing their best to juggle it all—navigating a chateau restoration and the relentless demands of tending to the land. Our relationship is far from perfect, constantly evolving, and filled with moments of struggle. And yet, through it all, there’s a unique beauty—a raw, unpolished kind of magic that makes it endlessly ours.
The surface of Lescure’s mirrors reflects not only who I am, but who I might be, offering a chance to imagine a future where I continue to find the courage to explore within, the grace to embrace my imperfections. Here’s to new beginnings, deeper connections, and the beauty of what’s yet to come.
Happy New Year from our home to yours!
