What a journey it’s been so far! The excitement, the intensity, the tears, and those desperate moments as we poured ourselves into restoring every room, every corner of Domaine Lescure. For those who’ve followed along, this place has become so much more than a château restoration. It’s a symbol of transformation, healing, and growth. Plus a minor masterclass in how many paint colours two people can disagree on.

Now that this beautiful place is coming into its own and the restoration has slowed, I find myself in a different phase. One that’s quieter, more inward. And one that involves fewer power tools.

You may have noticed my blog posts are less frequent. That’s because my focus has shifted from the physical restoration to what unfolds within these walls: the spirit of the space and the souls of those who come to experience it during our IFS Intensive retreats.

This is where SoulCollage® enters the story, perfectly blending with the essence of both Wabi Sabi and IFS (Internal Family Systems therapy).

I’ve spent years turning Lescure into an inner sanctuary, a home that feels alive with history and soul, where we can reconnect and simply be, away from the world’s noise. Here, the spirit of Wabi Sabi lives: a gentle reminder that beauty is found in imperfection, in the passing of time, and in the natural cycles of growth and renewal. It’s not about chasing perfection, but honouring the stories held in every crack, every moment lived. This includes every renovation disaster we’ve somehow survived.

Alongside this, I’ve been on an intuitive development path, learning to listen more deeply. SoulCollage® has become a key part of that: a creative, reflective process where we make cards that give voice to our inner child, protectors, fears, and strengths. It invites us to embrace all parts of ourselves, not just the polished, but the scars and vulnerabilities too.

What I love most is the quiet power of the process—those moments when you read a card and it speaks back to you with startling clarity. The look of surprise and recognition on people’s faces when something they didn’t even know they needed to hear rises from the image. That’s where the real magic is.

TWO PATHS, ONE PURPOSE

Then there’s Thomas, on his own path with IFS, diving deep into the many parts within us: the wounded, the protective, the curious. SoulCollage® complements this beautifully, offering a tangible way to focus on certain parts by giving them shape and imagery. Together, IFS and SoulCollage® create a space where heart and mind meet.

What I love most is how the paths Thomas and I are each exploring, his with Forest Bathing and IFS, mine with SoulCollage® and dream work, weave together so naturally here at Lescure. This place seems to hold space for both of us, with all our creative quirks and evolving ideas. It’s not always harmonious, but it’s honest, and it’s growing.

I’m grateful we get to do this side by side, and I’m excited to keep building something meaningful, imperfect, and deeply human for those who find their way here. Here’s to growing, stumbling and laughing forward together!
